Caleb Hale has been gaming on home consoles since 1986, and he started with a Nintendo Entertainment System (the one that came with Duck Hunt, the Zapper, and R.O.B.) Since then, he’s owned every Nintendo brand gaming device to hit the market. All, except for that eye-melting torture machine known as the Virtual Boy.
If you want to call him a Nintendo fanboy, you can, but he was lured away pretty easily by Sonic the Hedgehog, and then again by Lara Croft…and then again by Master Chief. He’s also hit Infinity Blade I and II pretty hard. Point is, Caleb is an avid gamer with diverse taste and an appreciation for all video game platforms.
He spent a short stint reviewing games for Game Critics.com in college. For the last decade or so he’s been an award-winning journalist and assignment editor for a regional daily newspaper in southern Illinois. He now serves as the publication’s online editor, overseeing its 24/7 news and information website.
Being married and a father of two, gaming, as you can imagine, is his spare time thing. Now, he adds blogging about gaming, clearly blazing an uncharted frontier on the World Wide Web.
Caleb is writing about Nintendo to keep a niche focus, something he read somewhere plays well in the blogosphere. He offers his observations on the company and its products as a longtime gamer and observer of the gaming industry.
